1970 Cougar Eliminator Clone

Here's Mike's story:

I saw an ad in the Bargain Mart (local swap shop paper).  What I saw was a very worn standard Ivy Green Cougar that needed a home.   Having more dreams than sense I bought it, but since I had a daughter in college it had to wait.  But the day finally came & I started to tear it down.  By now I had 2 Cougars.  The second one was total junk.  It had a blown motor, rust holes every where and no hope for that one.  It did have disc brakes, tinted windows, good  A/C, dash and part of a console. So the two became one and after years of working you see what my plain Jane has become.  It is a clone with a 351C 2V with a 600cfm Holley and a mild Summit cam.  I have rebuilt the whole car except the rear springs and that may happen in the Spring.  The FMX transmission is stock and has also been rebuilt.  The turn signals also work with the original electronics.  The car has only been to a couple of shows this past year.  We live in Lebanon Junction Ky. which is south of Louisville.

Well Mike, you've done a beautiful restoration job.  Your Cat looks great!
